This page will always be a work in progress, so please check back regularly as we will be updating it often to tell the stories of the more than 150 artisans who are represented on the shelves of Edible BC. This is also where we will share recipes and tips from the artisans themselves.
Feel free to email us if there is anyone specific you would like more information on.
Cheers,
The Retail Team of Edible BC
Jean Pierre Cote from Maison Cote - Jean Pierre is a self taught chef, who creates some of the most unique salts, peppers and herb blends for the foodie in your life. In fact, his raspberry rosemary sea salt is on the Vancouver Magazine’s list of 101 things to eat before you die! He also blends fantastic balsamic vinegars and makes a tart and sweet balsamic jelly that is simply addictive.
Elaine Steiger from Mountain Ash Farms – This company is from Powell River and was introduced to us by a customer swearing that we had to try her apple ginger marmalade. We tracked her down and now we carry over 20 items from her, ranging from jams to her tarragon vinegar to pickles to her incredible “Sundae in a Jar” ice cream topping. Elaine proudly boasts about her 9 freezer full of produce to make her incredible line of artisan goods.
Jeng Suratin Rianpracha of The Thai Princess – Anyone who tours the local farmers markets of Vancouver, must know who Jeng is. His Thai sauces, from his mother’s recipes, are incredible and have a cult like following. Last year, when Jeng went away for a 5 week holiday, we were inundated with customers needing his sauces. We carry his entire line of Thai curries and sauces all year round at our shop, so come in and pick up some of the best Thai sauces to make an authentic Thai meal.
