Welcome to the Edible BC’s Recipes Archive

Since the beginning, one of the most popular sections of our Amuse Bouche blog has always been the Recipes.  We’re constantly being asked for tasty recipes utilizing BC’s local ingredients.  So we’ve decided to share our vast collection and make it easy for you to access the information you need – welcome to the Edible BC’s Recipes Archive.

Over the years, EBC president and Chef Eric Pateman has created hundreds of locally based recipes, based on his travels across BC and his familiarity with our province’s foodstuffs.  In addition, we’ve had the honour of welcoming dozens of chefs to our BC’s Best Market Dinners over the past four years, and have catalogued recipes from all of them as well.  That amounts to thousands of local recipes in our collection!  Over the coming weeks and months we will post these recipes on the site, while continuing to bring you new culinary creations.    We’ve also added categories to make the info accessible – you can search for recipes by course (starter, main, dessert…), by theme (seafood, vegetarian…), by season or by keyword.    *Please note – this is a work in progress and will continue to grow.

But what is good food without good wine?  Here is a link to EBC’s Winespeak column, with sommelier Treve Ring’s BC wine, beer & spirits reviews.

And if you’re looking for wine and food pairing ideas, Natalie Maclean’s widget on the right is a useful tool.  Just select either the food or the wine you’re interested in pairing, and it will suggest matches and helpful ideas for you.

We hope all of these resources will inspire you to taste the best of BC!

Cheers ~
