"Thank you again for touring around with me and Courtney, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with you and Granville Island! I came back raving about it to my friends and my colleagues. I wish I could have brought back some of that amazing Vancouver produce and seafood. Your knowledge of food and food combinations mixed with BC’s wide array of local produce gave a really unique perspective into the food culture of BC.!

"I think it's safe to say that I've never learned as much nor enjoyed a shopping expedition more than I did during our wonderful explorations together last week. Not only were you an absolutely charming companion..."

"Just wanted to let you know that we had an amazing experience on Saturday. We wanted to thank you for making it possible. We have many envious friends that will be trying to do it next year."

Chef Guided Granville Island Market Experience

Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday at 8:30am

Edible British Columbia's signature tour provides the opportunity for both locals and visitors to learn about and experience BC's most visited and talked about public market. With more than 12.2 million visitors a year, Granville Island can be a very busy place, so let Edible BC teach you the secrets and show you the best places to shop!

The centerpiece of the island experience is the Granville Island Public Market which houses an array of vendors including irresistible green grocers, butchers, bakers, fishmongers, importers, ethnic food sellers, sweet stands, and casual eateries as well as a wine shop and a micro roaster of organic coffee. Just outside the market are many artisans and another small building, the Netloft, which houses a book store devoted solely to cookbooks. And opening soon, a new wine store and chocolate shop! With more than fifty permanent vendors and a constantly changing array of farmers, artisans and cottage industry food producers, Granville Island is a true cook’s treasure and a foodie’s heaven!

With everything from fresh buffalo mozzarella and live lobster to famous Oyama sausages and Terra breads, Granville Island is your one stop shop. Not your ordinary suburban mall, the former industrial area’s architecture is definitely distinctive and adds a flair to the island.
