"This tour was everything we had hoped it would be: informative, lively and fun. Michael, Paulette and I very much enjoyed Stephanie's communicative skills: she was knowledgeable, spoke engagingly and with confidence, and took us to interesting places -- she imparted in us a desire to return and explore further the fascinating shops to which she introduced us."

"I have lived in Vancouver for many years, but never knew Chinatown like I do now. I will definitely take out of town visitors on an Edible BC tour."

Susan Logan, Vancouver, BC

"My father and the girls loved the tour. The girls thought it was one of the highlights of their trip. My Dad loved it because the girls had so much fun and afterwards talked about it for quite a while...All in all I would say it was a big hit. I certainly wish I could have gone on the tour; it sounds fantastic...I know for certain that your tour helped him accomplish this important goal - happy, one of a kind, memories. He said EBC was worth every penny."

Chinatown Market Experience

Wednesday's at 11:00am & Saturday's at 1:00pm

Edible British Columbia is very proud to be able to both visitors and locals alike around one of North America's largest Chinatown's. With an abundance of history and so much to see, taste and small, not to mention eat, Chinatown will surely be a tour that you do not want to miss!

The centerpiece of Vancouver’s diverse ethnic dining scene is Chinatown. Edible B.C.’s chef led market tours will help you learn about the history of this unique area, but more importantly, understand the food culture of this cuisine that has truly shaped Vancouver, and provides the backbone for our city's pan-Asian cuisine.

The tour will explore some of the historical buildings and heritage landmarks in the area, however, the focus of the tour is food, so we will soon make our way to the heart of Chinatown with visits to herbal stores, meat shops, bakeries and specialty stores, along with a variety of food sampling: BBQ meats, exotic fruits and snacks. Other stops will include a traditional tea tasting and some fascinating herbal stores.

To reserve a space on this tour, book online, give us a call or send us an email and we would be happy to have you join us!
