What You Can Expect?
We will begin the weekend on the Friday morning where we will pick up the cars in Richmond before heading out to one of BC's top agricultural regions for some cheese tasting and other culinary delights to ensure we are well energized for trip! In order to truly appreciate the cars, we will be taking the windy back roads as much as possible as opposed to the boring highways. We will stop at various points throughout the trip and switch up cars so everyone has an opportunity to try all of the different vehicles over the weekend. Once we get to our destination, we will be staying in a private home, luxury Inn or maybe a Guest House, which is perfect for our kitchen party style evenings and will allow rest and relaxation after a hard day behind the wheel. While we are in the Okanagan or Vancouver Island, we might visit numerous wineries, fromageries and other places of edible interest. A detailed and customized itinerary will be finalized in the weeks prior to the trip that will allow for input from participants of the trip. Each weekend will be different as we try to ensure that the expectations of each individual on the trip are exceeded. However, you can be sure it will include some hidden gems that are a little off the beaten track! For each of the two nights, we might arrange for a top local chef to come and cook a multi-course meal with wine pairings for us at the Inn (so we don’t have to drive). Or maybe you will find yourself in a restaurant kitchen helping prepare dinner for yourself? The evenings will be fun and informal where you can choose to get your hands dirty and help the chefs or just sit back and enjoy great conversation with a glass of wine in your hand. We will pick up the wines for the evenings during our daily travels! Lunch each day will be at a vineyard or local restaurant that showcases the best of the region while breakfast will be served at the Inn. As with all of our tours and events, this event will exceed all expectations and will surely be a weekend that we will talk about for years to come!

Edible BC also arranges private tours for groups of friends and colleagues who might want to experience this type of weekend, but bring their own vehicles.
