FREEDOM NIGHTS AT CHAMBAR

June 16th, 2008 Write a Comment Print This Post Print This Post

Some very timely news from the newly expanded families here at Edible British Columbia (Cecilia Leong gave birth to her little boy Gavin on Sunday morning around 4:30am and Mother and son are doing fine – more details and a pic to follow soon!).  Last week Chambar instituted Freedom Night Thursdays, especially for parents.  Their original (and brilliant!) new concept allows parents to enjoy a nice adult dinner out without worrying about leaving their kids at home. While parents are at Chambar, enjoying Moules Frites and Belgian beer, their kiddies are next door at Medina Café. For Freedom Nights, Medina Café will be transformed into a party atmosphere courtesy of children’s party planners Ask Your Fairy. Lucky children get to dress up in costumes (think tutus, cowboy hats and pirate shirts), have their faces painted, play with toys from Dandelion Kids, and enjoy a tasty and nutritious meal courtesy of the Chambar kitchen; all under the supervision of the professional nannies of Nannies on Call. Parents have the luxury of two childfree hours, with the comfort of knowing that their kids are nearby (and quite possibly having way more fun than they are).

Freedom Nights run every Thursday for the rest of the summer from 6 to 8pm at a cost of $30.00 per child. Children must be between the ages of 3 and 7 and reservations are mandatory. 604-879-7119. info@chambar.com  www.chambar.com
