FINEST AT SEA COMING TO GRANVILLE ISLAND
The EBC crew at Granville Island is giddily looking forward to welcoming our new neighbours, Finest at Sea. With locations in Victoria’s James Bay and on Kitsilano’s Arbutus Street, FAS is already a well known and popular destination for lovers of fresh seafood. Committed to 100% wild, sustainably caught, premium product, FAS is the go-to for BC’s committed Ocean Wise restaurateurs and conscientious consumers. Owner Bob Fraumeni operates his commercial fishing fleet of 13 vessels which line or net catch Sablefish, Albacore Tuna, Fresh Long-Lined B.C. Halibut, Troll caught B.C. Salmon, Spot Prawns, Live Dungeness Crab, Mussels, Clams, Oysters, Green Sea Urchins, Pacific Scallops, Sea Asparagus and more. Previously Bob sold all his seafood products into the Asian market, but always had the dream to make his highest quality product available locally. Opened last fall, the Finest at Sea Seafood Boutique & Bistro in Arbutus Ridge has already won over locals and professionals alike – and now the newest location at Granville Island is primed to do the same. Problem is, they aren’t quite sure when the new space will be ready. The special refrigeration units are currently en route from Tennessee and without them, opening is impossible.
