"STRONGLY AGREE still isn't saying enough about how WONDERFUL this evening was. My only feedback would be to organize or explain a bit more when people first arrive as they weren't sure what to do or where to go. Of course it was different with our group as we were all saying hello to each other but it was still unsure."
Edible British Columbia (formerly Edible Vancouver) was created by Eric Pateman in the spring of 2005. Eric is a Vancouver native with a lifelong passion for food and wine. He has worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years both as a chef and hotel consultant and has rated restaurants for the Mobil Travel Guide. Eric's own culinary travels have taken him throughout North America, to the UK and to Africa where he has sought out unique food experiences. Edible British Columbia is the product of Eric's fervor for great food and wine, his extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry and an enthusiasm for exceeding expectations when it comes to customer service. Eric currently sits on the boards of the BC Culinary Tourism Society and the Vancouver Coast & MountainsTourism Region. Eric is also a member of the Chef's Table Society, Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver and supports many local charities including the Vancouver Food Bank and Les Dames D'Esscoffier.
Cecilia Yong became a partner of Edible B.C. in May 2006. She was born and raised in Vancouver and grew up in the restaurant industry, so she was taught to appreciate the importance of food at a very young age. Cecilia continued to follow her passion for food when she completed her degree in food science, as well as her journeyman certification in the trade of baking. Having over 14 years of experience in the food industry, including having worked as a pastry chef and also as a product designer for a number of food production companies, her love for all things food has only grown. Cecilia is very excited to join the Edible British Columbia team as she has a passion for good food and a desire to promote the best of her native British Columbia.
